On January 31, representatives of the Main Directorate for Migration & Registration of Citizenship of Uzbekistan and the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan held an online meeting to discuss issues of mutual recognition of identity cards, ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Dunyo Agency.

During the meeting, it was noted that this would simplify the entry and exit of citizens and expand cooperation in the field of migration policy.

"The convenience of travel will be increased through the use of biometric identity cards, which will allow citizens of both countries to cross the border without obtaining a passport," the agency says.
