A report on AZAL plane crash to be published in coming days

February 4, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan intends to publish a preliminary report on the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) plane near Aktau airport in the coming days. The work of specialists is in the final stages.

ABC.AZ reports that Kazakh Minister of Transport Marat Karabayev stated about this at a briefing.

«The joint work of specialists from different countries has entered its final stage. We expect that in the coming days, the preliminary report will be officially published on our website. Specialists need time to complete their work. This is very meticulous work," he noted.

He added that international experts from the Republic of Azerbaijan, Russian Federation, Brazil have been involved.

"The specialists are working diligently. Specialists from Azerbaijan, Russia and Brazil (as producer of plane Embraer 190), ICAO and CENIPA have been involved. We expect that in the coming days, the preliminary report will be officially published on our website. Specialists need time to complete their work. This is very meticulous work," he noted.

Preliminary findings of the AZAL plane crash investigation near Aktau will be released in the coming days.

He noted that the joint work of specialists from different countries has entered its final stage.

AZAL passenger plane, operating the Baku-Grozny flight, crashed on December 25 near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Of the 67 people on board, 38 died, and 29 survived. According to preliminary data, the plane crashed as a result of physical and technical external interference in Russian airspace.
