February 4, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan has proposed temporarily limiting potato exports to other countries.

ABC.AZ reports that this was announced on February 3 by the Ministry’s press service. This forced measure is necessary to prevent shortage of vegetables on their own market, and to curb rising food prices.

On February 1, 2025, Agriculture Minister Bakyt Otorbayev held a meeting at which he instructed the authorized local governments to closely monitor food prices.
