February 5, Fineko/abc.az. Former NATO Secretary General (2014-2024) and former Norwegian Prime Minister (2000-2001 and 2005-2013) Jens Stoltenberg has become the country's new finance minister. The composition of the new Norwegian cabinet was announced by Norwegian Prime Minister and longtime Stoltenberg ally Jonas Gahr Stere.

Stere was forced to reshuffle his cabinet after the collapse of the ruling coalition. Last week, the Center Party, led by Trygve Werdum, who served as Finance Minister, announced the termination of cooperation with the Social Democratic Workers' Party.
