February 5, Fineko/abc.az. The premiums and compensation payments for cargo (transport) insurance have increased in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that in 2024, the insurance companies collected 7.1 million manats of premiums on this type of insurance (1.23  million manats, or 17% more against 2023 - 5.988 million manats).

The compensations on this type of insurance were paid for 1.762 million manats (1.55 million manats, or 8.4-fold more than a year earlier - 21,000 manats).

The loss for 2024 was 25% (21% more than a year ago - 4%).
