February 6, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, there are 13 industrial zones in Azerbaijan, 9 of which have the status of industrial parks, and 4 have the status of industrial districts.

ABC.AZ reports,quoting Seymur Adigezalov, chairman of board of the Economic Zones Development Agency.

He noted that in 2024, 31 business entities in industrial zones were granted resident status, and 1 entrepreneur was granted non-resident status.

"It is planned to additionally invest 224.6 million manats in industrial zones at the expense of newly registered enterprises, creating more than 2,600 permanent jobs. The enterprises being created will produce medicines, pharmaceutical equipment, furniture, metal products, various building materials, etc.," Adigezalov added.
