February 11, Fineko/abc.az. Google has officially started renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the American One. The Google Maps mapping service in the USA already displays a new name, ABC.AZ reports, refering to company’s statement.

The publication notes that those who use Google Maps in the U.S. will see the Gulf of America option, those in Mexico will see the Gulf of Mexico, and everyone else will see both names, one of which will be written in parentheses.
