February 12, Fineko/abc.az. Today, Azerbaijan will send another shipment of humanitarian aid, consisting of electrical equipment, to Ukraine from the territory of the Sumgayit Technological Park.
ABC.AZ informs that in compliance with the presidential decree from February 5, 2025, $1 million was allocated for this purpose, and the first part of the aid was sent on February 7, 2025.
As part of those finances, humanitarian aid includes a total of more than 52,000 m of electrical cable and wires, as well as 17 transformers. Humanitarian aid is being sent by four trucks.
According to the appeal of the Ukrainian side, the specified equipment is intended to restore stable electricity supply to the territories affected by the war.
The total amount of rehabilitation and humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine in connection with the current situation has exceeded $40 million. To date, about 134 transformers and complete transformer substations, about 70 generators, as well as about 3.4 million m of cables and wires have been shipped to Ukraine.
