February 13, Fineko/abc.az. In 2024, 2.5 bcm of associated gas were transferred from block of oil and gas fields Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG), from Sangachal terminal and installation on the Oil Rocks to the Azerbaijani state, mainly SOCAR (25% more year-on-year).

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the report on the results of BP's activities in Azerbaijan in 2024.

According to the document, an average of 7 million cu m of gas were transferred from ACG to SOCAR daily last year.

"The rest of the extracted gas was pumped back into the collector to maintain pressure," the report says.

Part of the natural gas produced at ACG is transferred to SOCAR free of charge.
