Azerbaijan's national debt made up 21.7% of GDP last year

February 13, Fineko/abc.az. As of January 01, 2025, Azerbaijan's public debt (internal and external public debt) amounted to 27.38 billion manats, or 21.7% of GDP for 126.337 million manats in 2024.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Ministry of Finance, that the share of external government debt accounts for 8.72 billion manats ($5.129 billion), or 31.8% of the total government debt, and internal government debt accounts for 18.659 billion manats, or 68.2%.
