February 14, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of payment transactions in Azerbaijan in 2024 through electronic money and payment organizations amounted to 60.5 bn manats.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting ,Hayaleddin Tagiyev, the head of the CBA Department of Regulation of Payment Services & Systems, as saying this at the Azerbaijan Financial Forum.

According to Tagiyev, of this amount, 18.55 bn manats accounted for acquiring, 15.22 bn manats for mediation services during payments, 12.24 bn manats for credit transfers, direct debit and payment card transactions, 9.17 bn manats for the issuance and use of e-money, 5.2 bn manats for deposits and withdrawals of cash from accounts.

"Today, 15 e-money issuing organizations, 8 payment organizations and one payment system operator have a license to conduct such operations in Azerbaijan," Tagiyev added.
