February 17, Fineko/abc.az. In January 2025, Azerbaijan ranked 90th among 152 countries in terms of high-speed Internet (66.91 Mbps).

According to the Speedtest Global Index, average Internet speed in Azerbaijan in January 2025 was 90% more versus January 2024 (35.25 Mbps).

Singapore took the 1st place on broadband Internet speed in January (336.45 Mbit/s), and Cuba occupies the last (3.04 Mbit/s).

Azerbaijan improved by one position in January and ranked 54th among 104 countries in terms of mobile Internet speed (70.65 Mbps). The UAE holds the first place (545.94 Mbit/s), and Eritrea took the last place (1.88 Mbit/s).

In January 2025, Baku ranked 115th among 198 cities in terms of broadband Internet speed (67.75 Mbit/s) and 80th among 152 cities in terms of mobile Internet speed (85.08 Mbit/s).
