February 18, Fineko/abc.az. China's Huawei has launched folding smartphone Mate XT at the international market, ABC.AZ reports, referring to CNBC.

This is the world's first smartphone that can be folded three times. Its price will start from 3,499 euros, but the company has not yet announced in which countries it will be available.

The launch of Mate XT in China took place in 2024.

Huawei was the largest player in the global smartphone market, but company's share declined sharply after the introduction of U.S. sanctions in 2019, which deprived it of access to advanced chips and Android operating system.

According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), Huawei occupies only 0.3% of the smartphone market outside China.
