February 20, Fineko/abc.az. As of January 1, 2025, the number of the officially-registered unemployed in Azerbaijan reached 217,200 people.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that according to these figures, the highest figure for the official number of unemployed is in Baku - 35,500 people.

Aghdam district occupies the 2nd place with 6,600 people.

The number of the unemployed in Barda district is nearly 6,300 people.

In Shamkir district, this figure is 6,000 people, and in Sumgait and Guba - just over 5,400 people.

The number of the official unemployed in Lankaran was close to 5,400 people, and in Shaki - more than 5,100 people.

In addition, officially in 2024 there were 4,900 people in Absheron, 8,000 in Goychay, and 4,700 unemployed in Zagatala.

The lowest number of registered unemployed during the reported term was registered in Naftalan (224 people) and Khojavand (480 people).
