ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the amendment to the Law on Medical Insurance, approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

The Law on Medical Insurance envisages the amount of co-financing of losses or damage resulting from an insured event that is not covered by compulsory medical insurance and is paid by the policyholder.

Thus, in the parts relating to the amount of co-financing established by Article 16-4.4-1 of the above-said law, the insured, in accordance with Articles 15-28.3 and 15-28.4 of the Law, without resorting to primary health care, directly uses outpatient, laboratory, functional and diagnostic medical services or within the framework of compulsory medical insurance when applying to a state medical institution located outside the medical territorial unit where it is sent for the purpose of using medical services., it must pay the co-financing amount.
