March 11, Fineko/abc.az. More than 30.7 million manats of VAT paid for goods purchased for Jan-Feb 2025 in Azerbaijan from retail or catering facilities (with exception of petroleum products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), as well as for medical services rendered by medical institutions and individuals engaged in private medical practice, have been returned to consumers, who are individuals.

ABC.AZ informs that as a result of the VAT Refund Project, the share of non-cash payments in retail, catering and medical services has increased significantly.

In addition, as a result of expansion of the scope of the VAT Refund Project, the process of refunding part of the VAT paid for residential and non-residential premises purchased by non-cash consumers from individuals engaged in construction activities in the country continues. The refunded amount of VAT paid for residential and non-residential premises purchased by wire transfer over the past 2 months amounted to approx. 6.2 million manats.
