March 12, Fineko/abc.az. Industrial enterprises and private entrepreneurs working in this field produced industrial output for 10.7 billion manats for Jan-Feb 2025 (1.9% less versus Jan-Feb 2024). In the oil & gas sector, production dropped by 3.2%, while in the non-oil/gas sector it grew by 6.7%.
ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that 60.9% of industrial output accounted the mining sector, 31.8% for the processing sector, 6.4% for generation, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, and 0.9% for the water supply, waste treatment and recycling sector.
In the mining sector, commercial oil production decreased by 6.2%, while commercial gas production increased by 0.1%.
In the manufacturing sector, wood processing and wood products decreased by 88.1%, leather and leather goods and footwear production – by 47.0%, computer, electronic and optical products production – by 27.8%, machinery and equipment production – by 22.4%, textile production - by 21.8%, pharmaceutical products - by 21.4%, oil products production – by 15.6%, chemical industry production — by 11.4%, food production - by 10.7%, beverage production - by 5.4%, electrical equipment production - by 5.2%, production of rubber and plastic bulk products — by 3.6%, furniture production – by 5.7%, production of metallurgical products – by 5.9%, production of finished metal products – by 9.0%, production of building materials – by 12.3%, production of tobacco products – by 25.4%, production of paper and cardboard – by 32.2%, the production of cars, trailers and semi–trailers — by 35.1%, the production of clothing - by 39.8%, the installation and repair of machinery and equipment - by 41.5%, and the production of printing products - by 60.1%.
In the sector of production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, production volumes grew by 5.1%, and in the sector of water supply, waste treatment and recycling - by 4.3%.
