March 12, Fineko/abc.az. So far, over 52,000 entrepreneurs have used the preferential lending mechanism in Azerbaijan through the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, ABC.AZ reports, referring to EDF deputy chairman of board Eldar Hamidov as saying this at the 1st National Financial Accessibility Forum.

According to Hamidov, the total amount of preferential loans given to entrepreneurs through the Fund exceeded 3.3 billion manats.

"We are working to ensure that every year an increasing number of entrepreneurs can use the preferential lending mechanism. It is no coincidence that in 2024 the number of entrepreneurs who received loans from the Fund increased by 74.7% compared with 2023, to 7,222. And the volume the given of loans increased by 28% up to 248 million manats," Hamidov said.
