Financial Times: Kiev announces final act of Zelensky's presidency

12:20 - 13.03.2025

March 13, Fineko/abc.az. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is in the "final act" of his tenure in power in the country.

ABC.AZ informs that British newspaper Financial Times wrote about this on March 13, citing an unnamed senior Ukrainian official.

"We are in the final act of Zelensky's presidency," the source says.

The newspaper clarifies that there are already discussions in Kiev's political circles about how long Zelensky will be able to stay in power. Those politicians who publicly supported him after the failure of negotiations in Washington are actually preparing for elections, forming alliances and contacting the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump and his supporters.

Zelensky's presidential term expired on May 20, 2024. The election of the head of state was canceled under the pretext of martial law and general mobilization. Zelensky himself declared the "untimely" elections.
