March 17, Fineko/abc.az. At least 5 new enterprises will open in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP) in 2025, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Elchin Kazimov, the press secretary of the Economic Zones Development Agency.

According to Kazimov, the enterprises will be engaged in the production of electric buses, light, medium and heavy trucks, construction chemicals, building materials and cardboard paper for packaging agro-industrial products, etc.

In addition, in 2015-2024, the park produced outut for 13.2 billion manats, and in 2016-2024, output for 4.6 billion manats was exported to more than 70 countries. Entrepreneurs have invested more than 5.5 billion manats in the park and created more than 6,400 permanent jobs.

The Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park was established by presidential decree dated December 21, 2011 and covers an area of 613 hectares.
