March 18, Fineko/abc.az. PepsiCo Inc. (U.S.), the world's second largest producer of soft drinks, will buy the poppi brand for $1.95 billion.

PepsiCo expects to receive tax benefits of $300 million in connection with conclusion of this transaction, resulting in net purchase value of $1.65 billion. The company added that the deal involves additional payments due to timely achievement of certain indicators.
Additional details, as well as estimated dates for the completion of the transaction, are not provided.
Poppi is a popular and growing brand of low-calorie carbonated drinks with low sugar content, which include prebiotics, fruit juice and apple cider vinegar. The brand is aimed at consumers seeking to lead a healthier lifestyle, PepsiCo says in a press release.
PepsiCo's stock prices are up 1.4% at Monday's auction. Since the beginning of the year, the company's capitalization has decreased by 0.8% to $203.79 billion.
