March 18, Fineko/abc.az. The list of business permits is under expansion.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Law on Licenses & Permits, discussed at today’s Milli Majlis meeting.

According to the draft, the document on import on the liberated territories of Azerbaijan is included in the list of permits.

Thus, for VAT purposes, residents of the territories exempt from occupation, according to the list of types of economic activity and commodity nomenclatures approved by the Cabinet Ministers, were exempt from VAT and customs duties on imports of machinery, technological equipment and installations, as well as raw materials from January 1, 2023 for the period of up to 10 years. The exemptions are applied on the basis of a supporting document issued by the Ministry of Economy.

Considering that the specified supporting document has the character of a "Business permit", the draft article 75 "List of business permits" will be given in a new version.

Thus, the list of permits will also include a document certifying the import of machinery, technological equipment and installations, raw materials and supplies by legal entities engaged in business activities without forming a legal entity, and individuals by branches of economic activity and commodity nomenclature, the import of which in the territories liberated from occupation is exempt from VAT and customs duties.

This law, concerning the specified supporting document, will be applied from January 1, 2023 and will be valid until January 1, 2033.

The bill was put to the vote and passed in one reading.
