March 18, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) forecasts current account surplus of Azerbaijan's balance of payments in 2025 at the level of $5.5 billion, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Central Bank’s general director Vugar Ahmadov.

"As a whole, we see a favorable background. This background supports macroeconomic stability. In the medium-term prospect, we forecast current account surplus of $5 billion, possibly even higher," Ahmadov said.

By the end of 2024, the current account surplus amounted to $4.7 billion.
