March 18, Fineko/abc.az. China has stopped importing LNG from the U.S., without making purchases for 40 days, which is the longest break in almost two years.

ABC.AZ reports that Bloomberg writes about this.

Traders are forced to redirect supplies in order to avoid the 15% tariff imposed by Beijing on February 10 for the supply of LNG from the U.S. in response to universal American duties on Chinese exports.

It is reported that China is redirecting supplies of American LNG to Europe, preferring purchases in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East, while increasing domestic gas production.
