March 18, Fineko/abc.az. The terminal fee for cars imported from abroad and arriving at the customs terminal has been increased.

ABC.AZ reports that the amount of the fee has been increased from 200 to 300 manats.

In addition to the increased terminal fee, a new declaration document is now also required. That is, even before the car is imported into the country, a declaration must be prepared for it and submitted to the customs authorities. The approximate cost of this document is 35 manats.

The State Customs Committee informs that the issue related to the terminal does not fall within the competence of the customs authorities.

"As for another issue, according to the amendments to the Customs Code of Azerbaijan dated December 28, 2018, starting from February 1, 2019, individuals (individual entrepreneurs importing goods into the country for commercial purposes) must submit a short import declaration in e-form to the customs authorities before goods are imported into the customs territory," the SCC said.

As for the cost of the document, the SCC stressed that the specified amount is charged for a short import declaration for the organization of reliable, stable and uninterrupted provision of information to the information system of customs authorities for customs purposes, and an appropriate supporting document is provided.
