March 18, Fineko/abc.az. The supply of Kazakh grain to Azerbaijan by rail increased by about 95 times from September 2024 to March 10, 2025.

ABC.AZ reports, citing the Kazakh Railways (KTJ), that 7.7 million tons of grain were transported by rail during the specified period, of which 1.6 million tons were sent within the country and 6.1 million tons were sent for export. The increase in export volumes made up 52.8%.

At that, 2.3 million tons (+ 32%) were exported to Uzbekistan, 899,000 tons (+ 50%) to Tajikistan, 256,000 tons (+ 37.6%) to Afghanistan, and supplies to Kyrgyzstan increased by 1.7 times, reaching 233,076 tons.

Supplies to Azerbaijan increased 94.7-fold up to 379,000 tons, and to Iran 17.5-fold up to 718,000 tons.
