March 19, Fineko/abc.az. Official proposals to increase benefits and pensions will be presented this week, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Milli Majlis MP Vugar Bayramov.

He noted that, in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, the Cabinet of Ministers is finalizing proposals to increase benefits and pensions.:

"Considering that the presidential decree "On further measures to improve the social welfare of the population" was signed on December 23, 2024 and the Cabinet was given 3 months, it is expected that official proposals on increasing social benefits and pensions will be presented this week. Then, as the next direction of the social package, there will be new increases. Thus, the next stage of the social package will include an increase in benefits and pensions.”

Bayramov also recalled that in January 2025, average monthly salary in Azerbaijan grew by 12.8% and reached 1,062.9 manats:

“Increase in monthly wages is linked with a rise of the minimum wage from this year, as well as growth in wages in a number of sectors. The launch of the new social package has also had positive impact on average monthly salary in the country. This year, the social package will cover more than 3 million of our citizens, and more than 1.5 billion manats will be allocated for these purposes. This means that the social package will not be limited to higher salaries and pensions.”
