March 19, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has endorsed an Artificial Intelligence Strategy for 2025-2028.

ABC.AZ informs that President Ilham Aliyev has signed a relevant decree.

The Artificial Intelligence Strategy for 2025-2028 outlines four key goals.

The strategy envisages increasing competitiveness of country's economy, creating favorable conditions for introduction of AI, training qualified personnel to work in this field, and widely informing society about advantages of AI.

The strategy also stipulates four priorities - development and improvement of AI management, improvement of data management and infrastructure, improvement of talents and skills in the field of AI, and creation of a favorable business environment.

The strategy for development of AI for 2025-2028 includes 13 key objectives.

These include creation of sustainable and competitive AI industry in priority sectors, training of qualified specialists, introduction of AI into public administration to increase efficiency and transparency, as well as organization of regional centers for training and talent development in this area.

In addition, the strategy stipulates development of infrastructure for big data processing, the improvement of the legislative framework, introduction of global AI standards in AI systems, promotion of cooperation between sectors for research and development of AI systems, protection of personal data and prevention of bias in AI algorithms.

Special attention is also paid to issues of national security, cyber defense and countering disinformation.
