Turkey to receive Brazilian oil in April

March 19, Fineko/abc.az. Turkish company TUPRAS (Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS) has purchased a batch of medium-grade oil for its refineries in Brazil. The supplier was state organization Petrobras, ABC.AZ informs, referring to Bloomberg.

Brazilian state oil company Petrobras sold 950,000 b/d of Itapu oil with 0.25% sulfur content to Turkey. According to anonymous Bloomberg sources, the fuel is currently being shipped by tanker Joao Cândido.

The ship is scheduled to arrive in the Turkish port of Izmit on April 3-4. Company's oil refinery with capacity of 225,800 b/d is located next to this point.

In addition to TUPRAS, SOCAR is engaged in oil refining in Turkey.

In 2024, this organization accounted for 29% of crude oil imports into the country.
