April 3, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2025, 1,251 mortgage loans for 124.9 million manats were given through the Azerbaijan Mortgage & Credit Guarantee Fund, and 508 loans for 41.9 million manats were given on preferential terms.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the AMCGF, that mortgage loans for more than 3.4 billion manats have been given since 2006, including 988.5 million manats within the preferential program. As a result, 53,829 families have improved their living conditions, while 67% of borrowers are young people and young families.

As of April 1, 2025, the AMCGF gave 1,211 guaranteed mortgage loans in the amount of 107.4 million manats, which allowed reducing the initial payment for citizens with limited savings.

In the 1st quarter of 2025, the Azerbaijani mortgage market continued to strengthen the competitive environment between authorized banks, and a number of banks continued to issue mortgage loans at lower interest rates, despite the establishment of a maximum mortgage interest rate of 8% per annum.

As a result, the average interest rate on standard mortgages in the 1st quarter was 7.5%.
