April 8, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Mar 2025, consumers who are individuals were refunded a portion of VAT in the amount of 46.1 million manats paid for goods purchased in Azerbaijan from retail or catering facilities (with exception of oil and gas products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), as well as for medical services rendered by medical institutions and individuals engaged in private medical practice.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Tax Service that in addition, as a result of expansion of the scope of the VAT Refund Project, the process of refunding part of the VAT paid for residential and non-residential premises purchased by non-cash consumers from individuals engaged in construction activities in the country continues. The refunded amount of VAT paid for residential and non-residential premises purchased by bank transfer over the past 3 months amounted to 8.1 million manats.
