April 10, Fineko/abc.az. As of April 1, 2025, there were 1,614,737 taxpayers in Azerbaijan (5% more than on April 1, 2024), ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Tax Service.

Some 87% of taxpayers were individuals, 13% were legal entities and other organizations. Over Jan-Mar 2025, the number of individuals grew by 4.6%, and the number of legal entities by 7.6%.

The number of registered commercial entities at the end of March increased by 8.2% compared to a year ago and reached 193,780 entities.

Exactly 91.6% of commercial legal entities registered in the state were established in the form of limited liability companies (LLCs), 1.1% were joint-stock companies, and 1.1% were cooperatives.

In the first quarter, 3,479 single commercial entities passed state registration, of which 89% were with local investment and 11% were with foreign investmenst. Some 86% of commercial entities were registered electronically. The share of e-registration of registered local investment LLCs for Jan-Mar 2025 was 97%.
