April 11, Fineko/abc.az. Every 10th resident of Azerbaijan has the status of an internally displaced person.

ABC.AZ reports quoting Secretary General of the BSEC Parliamentary Assembly Assef Hajiyev as saying this at the panel discussion "Parliamentary Diplomacy in Global Governance" within the 4th Antalya Diplomatic Forum.

He added that all the property of people who were expelled from their homes 30 years ago was completely destroyed.

"Azerbaijan has invested billions of dollars in the restoration of Karabakh liberated from occupation. This is a significant amount for one country," he said.

Hajiyev also stressed that the problem of refugees and displaced persons is a global problem.
