April 11, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, Azerbaijan is numbering 20 active companies with Moldovan capital operating in the fields of transport, industry, construction, trade and services.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Deputy Minister of Economy Rovnag Abdullayev during his speech as saying this at the Azerbaijan-Moldova Business Forum.

He noted that positive dynamics is also observed in the tourism sector: "In 2024, the tourist flow from Moldova to Azerbaijan increased by nearly 12%."

"Our national carrier AZAL operates regular flights via Baku-Chisinau-Baku route five times a week. Starting in May, flights will be operated daily, which will give an impetus to development of business and tourism ties," the deputy minister added.

Abdullayev added that positive dynamics is also observed in trade turnover: "Last year, Azerbaijan-Moldova trade turnover reached $10.1 million. In 2024, we managed to change the situation for the better. Over Jan-Feb 2025, trade turnover grew by 26.6% up to $1.3 million."
