Grossi to pay a visit to Iran this week

April 14, Fineko/abc.az. The director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, is expected to visit Tehran this week ahead of the second round of talks between Tehran and Washington, ABC.AZ informs, referring to www.iran.ru.

Grossi is expected to discuss IAEA's activities in monitoring and verifying Iran's nuclear facilities.

"Iran expects the IAEA to fulfill its legal obligations, especially in the face of ongoing threats against Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities from the U.S. and the Israeli regime," Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Ismail Baghei said.

He added that the IAEA is obliged, in accordance with Resolution 533 and other international legal norms, to take a clear position and condemn such threats.
