EU imposes sanctions against Iran

April 14, Fineko/abc.az. The EU has imposed sanctions on seven Iranian judges and members of the prison system, as well as two organizations for alleged "human rights violations" and "repression of protesters", ABC.AZ reports with reference to the resolution of the EU Council.

One of the two sanctioned organizations is the Shiraz city prison in the south of the country. With this priosn, as with other sanctioned legal entities, European businesses are prohibited from any contact, especially for the purpose of investment, and prison assets in European banks are subject to immediate freezing.

Individuals blacklisted are also prohibited from entering the EU.
