April 15, Fineko/abc.az. The construction of highway Goradiz-Jabrayil-Zangilan-Agbend (Zangezur Corridor), the foundation of which was laid by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, has been completed by 93%.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Agency of Highways of Azerbaijan, that the total length of the four–lane road is 149.9 km, and the length of the main road is 123.6 km. The project includes the construction of 55 underpasses and 28 bridges.

Tunnels are one of the important components of construction project Zangezur Corridor.  Drilling and concreting work has been completed in each of the 3 tunnels built along the road with total length of 12,032 m.

The construction of the Goradiz-Jabrayil-Zangilan-Agbend road is one of the important steps taken by Azerbaijan in the field of infrastructure. The road is of great importance in terms of connecting other regions of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. It will not only strengthen the transport system, but will also become an important tool for accelerating the economic growth of the region and strengthening strategic ties.
