April 15, Fineko/abc.az. Audi and Porsche, which are part of German group Volkswagen, recall more than 60,000 vehicles in the United States due to various software problems.
ABC.AZ reports, citing the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Audi is recalling close to 44,400 cars because of problems that may cause the dashboard display to malfunction.
This applies to motor vehicles of the 2021 model range A6, A6 All Road, A7, A8, Q7, Q8, RS 6 Avant, RS 7, RS Q8, S6, S7, S8, SQ7 and SQ8.
"An instrument panel display that does not display important safety information such as a speedometer or warning lights increases the risk of an accident," the NHTSA says.
8,570 electric vehicles Porsche Macan produced in 2024-2025 are also being recalled due to a problem with the rear-view camera, which may not show or give a blurry image.
In addition, the recall will affect more than 9,700 cars Porsche Taycan from 2022-2023, as an error in the system may disable the front passenger airbag.
