U.S. offers Iran to transfer uranium reserves to Russia

April 15, Fineko/abc.az. The United States, as part of negotiations with Iran on the nuclear deal, proposed that Tehran transfer its reserves of highly enriched uranium to a third country, for example, Russia, ABC.AZ reports, referring to The Guardian.

This issue was considered during the proximity talks held on April 12 in Oman, and is one of the key stumbling blocks on the way to a possible agreement.

According to The Guardian, Iran "will resist" the U.S.’ proposal to transfer uranium reserves to a third country.

The delegations of Iran and the U.S. held indirect talks in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on April 12. After the meeting, Trump said that, in his opinion, negotiations with Iran are going well. The second round of negotiations will be held in Oman on April 19.
