Bloomberg: Russia intends to buy Boeing planes from U.S. at expense of frozen funds

April 16, Fineko/abc.az. Russia has applied to the U.S. with an offer to purchase Boeing Co aircraft. at the expense of frozen Russian state assets.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to Bloomberg, that although this initiative is not a condition for agreeing to a truce, Russia understands that the frozen funds cannot be used to purchase aircraft without an effective ceasefire.

The deal, which allows the purchase of aircraft, may become part of the easing of sanctions in the event of a cessation of hostilities, the agency writes.

The Department of State and Boeing declined to comment.
