Accommodation of 5,000 people in Aghdam is planned by end of 2025

April 17, Fineko/abc.az. In 2026, 10,000 people are to be resettled in the city of Aghdam.

ABC.AZ informs, quoting Emin Huseynov, Azerbaijani President’s Special Representative for Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavend districts.

"In general, it is planned to accommodate 5,000 people in Aghdam by the end of 2025, and another 10,000 in 2026. In the future, the total number of displaced citizens will be 20,000-25,000 people," he said.

Huseynov added that the design of the second and third residential areas in the city of Fuzuli is being completed. Construction work is scheduled to begin in the autumn of this year.
