Investments in Khankendi, Aghdere, and Khojaly amount to 30 million manats

April 18, Fineko/abc.az. Investments in the amount of 30 million manats from 439 business entities have been made in Khankendi, Aghdere, and Khojaly.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting president’s special representative for Khankendi, Khojaly and Aghdere districts, Elchin Yusubov, as saying this at the Karabakh University during the visit of representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Yusubov noted that favorable conditions are currently being created for local and foreign investors.

"More than 3,000 people will be provided with jobs in these territories by the end of the year," he said.

The special representative added that the construction of Khankendi Airport is ongoing.

"New modern roads, railways, and modern hydroelectric power plants are also being built here, the use of alternative energy based on the principle of green energy is expanding, and work is underway to restore forests cut down during the occupation," Yusubov stressed.

He noted that a new Hankendi master plan is also being developed.

"Modern infrastructure is being built. Mine clearance operations are ongoing at accelerated pace. Our villages, destroyed during the occupation, are being restored. 12,000 people have been resettled in 7 settlements of Khankendi, Aghdere and Khojaly," Yusubov added.
