April 18, Fineko/abc.az. The State Customs Committee (SCC) is working over new technical solutions to eliminate existing difficulties relating to monthly import limits for the domestic needs of individuals.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting SCC E-Services & Projects Department’s head Elshan Mammadov, as saying this at the event on the theme "Digital Customs & Media".

"For example, when a citizen returns a product after it has been imported from abroad, difficulties arise in taking this product into account in the customs limit. Special software is being developed to fix this problem. Currently, the work has been completed by 70-80%, and the new system is to be put into operation within a month," Mammadov said.

He added that the cost of goods returned through the new software will be replaced by a future monthly limit.:

"In this case, it will also be possible to refund the customs duties paid. However, this process will take some time, as these funds are transferred to the State Budget, and their return requires some time."
