April 18, Fineko/abc.az. Smartphone imports in Azerbaijan decreased by 18% in the first quarter of 2025 against the same period of 2024.

ABC.AZ informs that for the first 2 months of this year, the country imported 183,109 smartphones for totally $54.23 million (versus 222,384 phones for $61.16 million for Jan-Feb 2024). These indicators show a drop in both quantitative and monetary terms.

China is the country that imported most of all smartphones in Azerbaijan for Jan-Feb 2025. 154,128 smartphones were imported from this country, and their total cost was $41.68 million. 26,645 smartphones for $11.72 million) were imported from Vietnam, 2,106 ($806,780) from India, and 230 ($27,600) from the Republic of Korea.

Compared with the first two months of 2024, during this period, Azerbaijan imported most of all smartphones from China (168,905 phones for $44.04 million) and Vietnam (36,295 phones for $12.43 million).

That in addition, our country imported 16,058 phones from India (for $3.46 million), 952 phones from the U.S. (for $1.11 million), 38 phones from the UAE (for $44,000), 75 phones from Indonesia ($22,720), 1 phone from the Republic of Korea (for $1,420), 14 phones from Malaysia (for $21,120), 20 smartphones ($13,700) and 26 smartphones from France ($12,120).
