April 21, Fineko/abc.az. China will respond appropriately to certain countries making deals with the United States to the detriment of Chinese interests, ABC.AZ informs, quoting a representative of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China.

"It should be emphasized that China strongly opposes any party entering into transactions to the detriment of China's interests. If this happens, China will never accept it and will equally resolutely take countermeasures," the statement says.

This statement was a response to the U.S. administration's plans to use tariff negotiations with other countries to put pressure on them to limit their relations with China.

"The idea is to get U.S. trading partners to commit to isolating China's economy in exchange for reducing trade and tariff barriers imposed by the White House," The Wall Street Journal previously reported.

The Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China stated that China is able to protect its rights and interests, and warned that as soon as international trade returns to the "law of the jungle", all countries will become victims.

China is ready to counter threats and defend international justice, the Ministry added.
