April 21, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Mar 2025, there was a slight increase in cotton yarn exports.

Azerbaijan exported 2.9 tons of cotton yarn to foreign markets during this period, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee.

At the same time, for the same period in 2024, this figure reached 1,969 tons. Thus, the volume of exports increased by 40 tons or by 2.05%.

Revenue grew by $18,790, or 0.38%, compared with Jan-Mar 2024 up to 5.21 million.

The average export price has decreased. If in 2024 1 ton of cotton yarn was sold for $2,540, then in 2025 this figure was $2,499. That is, a drop of about $40 per ton was recorded.

The decline is also observed in terms of manats. If in 2024 1 kg of cotton yarn was sold for 4 manats 32 gapiks, then in the same period of 2025 this figure fell to 4 manats 25 gapiks. This means a 1.6% price reduction.

Cotton yarn made up 0.08% of total exports this year, while the non-oil sector - nearly 0.65%.
