April 23, Fineko/abc.az. «Azeristiktejhizat currently operates through subsidies, it's no secret that our tariffs are low."

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Azeristiktajkhizat’s acting chairman Ilham Mirzoyev, as saying this at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology.

He noted that steps are currently being taken to gradually reduce subsidies.

"In 2023, according to a decree approved by the Cabinet Ministers, the living area was replaced by a total area. This step allowed us to increase revenues to some extent, as the solution brought us about 2 million manats of additional income. Starting from January 1, 2025, tariffs have been set at nearly 30 gapiks. This means doubling of income. Therefore, the transfer of any heat supply facility to the balance of Azeristiktejhizat means not only additional costs, but also the need for additional subsidies," Mirzoyev said.
