May 12, Fineko/abc.az. Comparison of the data published by the central banks of the South Caucasus countries shows that Azerbaijan is ahead of other countries in the region in terms of the number of active bank cards.

ABC.AZ informs that as of the end of Q1 of 2025, the number of active bank cards in Azerbaijan grew by 17.4% or by 3.38 million cards compared to the same period last year and reached 20.459 million cards.

Over the past months of the year, the number of bank cards in Georgia increased by 11.4% or by 1.21 million cards up to 9.98 million cards.

According to the latest data from the Central Bank of Armenia, at the end of last year, the number of bank cards in the country reached 4.327 million cards, an increase of 16.3% or 605,676 cards during the year.
