May 13, Fineko/abc.az. As of May 1, 2025, 1,621,818 taxpayers were registered in Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Tax Service.

This is an increase of 4.8% compared with the same term in 2024. Of the total number of taxpayers, 86.9% are individuals and 13.1% are legal entities and other organizations. This year, the number of individual taxpayers has increased by 4.3%, while the number of legal entities by 7.7%.

The number of registered commercial organizations reached 195,263 at the end of April, which is 8.4% more than a year earlier. Among commercial legal entities that have passed state registration, 91.7% are limited liability companies (LLCs), 1.1% are joint-stock companies, 1.1% are cooperatives and other forms.

Over Jan-Apr alone, 4,995 commercial organizations passed state registration, of which 89.5% had local investments and 10.5% had foreign investments. 86.3% of commercial organizations were registered electronically. The share of LLC companies with local investments registered online for the reported term was 97.1%.
