Germany’s inflation slowed to 2.1% in April

May 14, Fineko/abc.az. In April 2025, consumer prices in Germany increased by 2.1% year-on-year, down from 2.2% in March, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).

Compared with March, prices increased by 0.4%.

Prices for food and soft drinks grew by 3.3%, services rose by 6%, clothing and footwear - by 1%, and household energy fell by 2.5%.

According to EU standards, inflation was 2.2% in annual terms, at least for seven months. On a monthly basis, prices increased by 0.5%. All indicators coincided with the preliminary estimates and forecasts of analysts.
